FASD?

What is Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder?

FASD is a complex diagnosis that has effects on the brain due to prenatal alcohol exposure. The effects are permanent, and there is no cure. No two people with FASD are affected in the same way, and each individual experiences different challenges which can range from mild to severe.

Fact about FASD and Mental Health

• 75% have at least one mental disorder (Highest is Depression/ Anxiety)

• 54% have an attention disorder

• FASD and medication doesn’t always work
